In this edition, we're going to take a look at individual players that are #StatBeastin, playing mediocre, or just playing like dumpster juice. Perhaps this will give y'all some ideas of who to vote for and who not to vote for in the All-Star game.
The Good

Kyle Lowry
15.9 ppg, 8.8 apg, 6.9 rpg, 2.0 spg
This guy is the Rockets' swiss army knife. He's doing it all for this team and at this point is deserving of a spot on the Western Conference All-Star team. He's one of two players so far this season to record a triple-double. Don't be surprised if Lowry leads the Rockets to the playoffs.
LeBron James
29.1 ppg, 7.1 apg, 8.0 rpg, 2.1 spg
Yet another run of the mill MVP-caliber season from LeBron James. There's no doubt that he's playing some of the best basketball of his career and he's exhibited the willingness to finally operate out of the post. It's an ongoing experiment, but it's helped him shoot a tidy 54.5% from the field which bests his career average of 48.1%.
Kevin Love
25.3 ppg, 13.7 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.1 spg
Offensively, this dude is a beast. Defensively, he leaves much to be desired. If his defensive game approaches what he does on the other end of the court, look out. He leads the league in double-doubles, notching 17 of them out of the 18 games he's played.
Dwight Howard
19.5 ppg, 15.6 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.3 spg, 2.1 bpg
For the most part, D12 has been a monster this season. Leading the NBA in rebounding, second in double-doubles, and has the most 20-20 games this season with 5 of them including a ridiculous 45 point, 23 rebound, 3 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks against the Golden State Warriors on January 12th. Yet, he might be able to do even more if he changes addresses.
Rajon Rondo
15.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 9.4 apg, 1.7 spg
He's missed time due to injury, but he's still playing at a high level. He's got the other triple-double so far this season. The Celtics are getting back on track and when Rondo returns to the fold they should get even better.
The Bad

Metta World Peace
5.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.9 apg
Metta's career has hit rock bottom statistically and gone are the days when he was a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate. If the Lakers are going to do anything this season, he's got to play better. He's also shooting 15.8% from 3. Steve Kerr weeps.
Lamar Odom
7.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.5 apg
He got traded from the place he called home and hasn't been the same since. He has the potential to be a great pickup for Dallas but he's got to get out of this fog and start playing like the talent that he is.
Amare Stoudemire
17.8 ppg, 8.4 rbg, 1.3 apg, 1.2 spg
These numbers aren't bad but with the exception of the steals they're all below his career averages. Combine that with the fact that he's bringing nothing defensively and that's where problems arise. He hasn't meshed well with Carmelo Anthony and the lack of a true point guard presence probably has a great impact on that situation. Maybe, perhaps, possibly Baron Davis can alleviate this situation. We'll see. He's got to raise his level of play if the Knicks are going to do the big things many expected to see them do this season.
The #Doody

Jameer Nelson
8.4 ppg, 2.5 rbg, 5.4 apg
Orlando had a spark when they started, but lately they've put up some garbage games. Jameer Nelson has largely been invisible this season. He says that the Dwight Howard situation has affected him since Dwight has been openly wanting to play with better point guards. With these stats, I don't blame D12.
Devin Harris
9.1 ppg, 1.5 rbg, 4.6 apg
This guy was once an All-Star caliber point guard. Is he done? Who knows, but signs are pointing to yes. Utah has exceeded every expectation for them thus far but Devin Harris can't say he's the focal point for their better than expected play.
Jason Kidd
4.3 ppg, 4.7 rbg, 5.5 apg, 1.7 spg
He's an NBA fossil, but he's also the starting point guard for the defending NBA Champions. The steals and rebounds are decent, but the points and assists are incredibly #doody for a starting point guard in the NBA.
