It's CientifiQ back at you with another episode of Sneaker Box. Sorry about last week if anyone missed it but I was on vacation in Puerto Rico and figured I might as well enjoy it and stay away from these internets and have a little fun.

I'm back though! I saw some dope sneakers in PR too! Cats was just out in the sand like it's the thing to fuck up sneakers these days. Me, just brought me a few pair of New Balance that I could dust off and put back in the stash. If I was at the beach it was water shoes. I wasn't even trying to look cool for nobody out there. Just out there to have some fun with my lady and see something new for a change.

I wanna go back a few days with some of the releases that caught my eye...For one the Nike Air Max 95 DB in the Varsity Royal/White-Varsity Red colorway. Perfect July 4th sneakers if you ask me. I have been seeing them online for a few months now and thought about Captain America every time I say them. Would have been ill if Nike would have released these before the 4th but the 7th will do. Haven't caught anyone rocking these yet but I have only been back on the continental US for a few days. Anyone get a chance to cop these? If so let us know how you are feeling them. Personally the 95's are some of my favorite sneakers. I own 3 pair myself. Still have the original 95's that were first released too. A little tight on my foot so I keep em tucked away. Might as well get rid of them actually.

Another pair I would like to speak on are the Nike LeBron X EXT "Brown Suede". With the Suede Brown/Suede Brown-Sea Royal colorway. These are also dope! There have been a few pairs of Bron's lately that have been very impressive. Haven't gotten a chance to get my hands on any but I'd like to! These kind of remind me of the corks that were released not too long ago. Just suede.

Other than that the only other sneakers that grabbed my attention were the Nike KD VI in Sonic Yellow/Midnight Navy-Tropical Teal. These retailed for $130. Loud but actually pretty dope. I know when I first started writing I didn't like the loud shoes a lot but I have come to like them for a few reasons: Reason 1: That's all that really comes out is loud shoes these days. Reason 2: Sometimes you have to step outside the box. I was so used to wearing the same old colors and trying to match but it's not even really cool to match anymore. Not that I follow what everyone else does because if you know me you know I do me regardless but I have to open my mind up a little more and accept the change in the world. Music and sneakers are what I love (as far as material things go) and I can't just keep copping the same sneakers over and over. Jordan got enough of my dough! I'd like to pic these up and might if I see them anywhere.

July 12th Reebok is releasing the Reebok "Shaqnosis". I remember these growing up. One of the sneakers to have. Can't say I'd pick them up today and can't say I wouldn't either. I'd have to try them on to see how they fit the kid. These are in the Black and White color way. Nothing loud here. And are retailing for $113.

July 13th sees the release of the Air Jordan IV Fire Red/White-Black-Cement Grey for $160. Saw my nigga Torae stepping in these on Instagram earlier today. Definitely a dope shoe! I have a few pair of IV's myself. These are a pair that I would love to add to the collection. It's a little hard to keep up with Jordan these days. EVERY week he drops a new shoe. Some I have so I am not really pressed unless mine are damaged and some I don't have. These are a pair I don't have and would cop with no regrets.

Jordan brand is also releasing not 1, not 2 but 3 pair of Air Jordan 1. The first being the Retro High OG in a Black/Soft Grey color way and going for $140. The second pair are the Retro 1 89 in Fire Red/Black-Cement Grey-White retailing at $130 and the third are the Mid in a Black/Gym Red in a Anthracite which will cost you $105. Not a big fan of the Jordan 1 but I know a lot of people that are. Jordan be trying to dig in your pockets every weekend don't he?

That's about it for this week. I wanna say one thing though. Being a sneaker head has no age to it. Yeah you gotta get your grown man on every now and then. Trust me, I am in hard bottoms, slacks and dress shirts every day of the week from 9-6 but I love some sneakers. You don't have to be a teenager to love sneakers. Fact is that the older you get the better you take care of your sneakers. The less you are in it just so people will look at your feet and “oooh” and “ahhhh” when they see what you are rocking. The older you get the more you appreciate the sneaker for what it is. Women will tell you that you are too old to rock sneakers.

Those are the ones that want you to be in Jesus sandals at the age of 30. Don't listen to em!!! Do you! If you got the funds and the means to cop a new pair do it. If not then do like me and just admire the sneaker for what it is. This is a culture. I don't wine and complain when I can't get some sneakers. I'm a father and I am in a relationship so others have to come before me. Nothing wrong with loving sneakers though. I have loved them since I started choosing my own. Peace and let us know what you plan to cop!
